Am I the only one who loves a hotel smell?

There’s really something about a lobby scent. It’s the first thing you recognize when entering a hotel, my favourite ones that I’ve been to? The public hotel and arlo soho in Manhattan, the Bisha hotel in Toronto and the Grande Joanne in Copenhagen.

Do you have any standout hotels that smelt good?

Now where was I going with this? Right, how do I emulate this at home? Well I’ve tried a few candles, and I keep going back to Diptyque. Specifically benjoin and narguilé, those two scents are deep, moody but intimate. The projection on those two is pretty amazing, and you don’t need to burn it for longer than half an hour.
